Peacock is adding a new music driven drama to its lineup this winter with the exclusive debut of Song Sung Blue, arriving on the platform Feb. 13.

The film stars Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson as Mike and Claire, two musicians whose shared love of performance brings them together both on and off the stage. Their bond deepens when they form a Neil Diamond cover band called Lightning and Thunder, turning familiar songs into a source of connection and purpose.

Based on a 2008 documentary by Greg Kohs, Song Sung Blue explores how music can anchor people during life’s most difficult moments. When unexpected tragedy disrupts their lives, Mike and Claire lean on their relationship and their passion for music to navigate loss, rebuild their sense of direction, and ultimately inspire those around them.

The film is written and directed by Craig Brewer, whose work often blends music with character driven storytelling. The ensemble cast includes Michael Imperioli, Ella Anderson, Mustafa Shakir, Fisher Stevens, and Jim Belushi, rounding out a story rooted in performance, perseverance, and emotional honesty.

Song Sung Blue begins streaming exclusively on Peacock on Feb. 13.
