How To Make Your Own Irish Cream Liqueur

It’s Winter. Snow on the ground, silver bells ringing in your ears, and you need something to warm your cockles. What’s better than Irish Cream in your coffee? Plain ol’ Irish Cream in a cup, that’s what. Here’s a easy-peasy recipe we found from The Brown Eyed Baker for making your very own Irish Cream Liqueur.

Ingredients:

  • 1⅔ cups Jameson Irish whiskey
  • 1 cup half & half or heavy cream
  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate syrup
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon instant coffee

Directions:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a blender and puree on high speed for 30 seconds.
  2. Transfer mixture to an airtight container or glass bottle with a tight-fitting lid and store in the refrigerator for up to 2 months. Shake well before using.

Voila!  Super easy, right? Make it for your next party, bottle and give it as this year’s home-made gift to impress, or heck, just warm it up in the microwave or serve it over ice every time you need that little cup o’ cheer.
