Here’s a quick quiz: name the artist that was born in Milwaukee, spent time with Les Paul as a young child (his parents were friends), taught Boz Scaggs to play guitar, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall in 2016 and has sold nearly 100 million records?
Did you think Steve Miller?
At 12 years of age he formed his 1st band called ‘The Marksmen,’ and then the ‘Steve Miller Blues Band,’ until of course the record company shortened the name all together.
Steve hit it big in the early 70s with “The Joker,” “Fly Like an Eagle” and “Abracadabra” and has toured for over 40 years. We now hear that Steve will be releasing a new LP called ‘Ultimate Hits’ mid-September, with all the singles and never released material.
You’ll enjoy “Abracadabra,” “Jet Airliner,” “Take the Money and Run,” “Swingtown” and “Rock’n Me” all on the album. ‘Ultimate Hits’ will contain 40 tunes in all.
