HGTV’s Best Affordable Home Decor Websites

Whether you’re trying a new trend, refreshing a room or decorating a new home, you don’t have to spend a fortune on decor. There are tons of great stores to score home decor for a fraction of the designer price. The experts at HGTV have rounded up their favorite websites to shop affordable decor, from area rugs to accent chairs to throw pillows.

Here are some of their favorites, based on what you may be looking for:

Best for Throws + Textiles

Walmart: The new Gap Home collection at Walmart is the place to score stylish and comfy pillows and throw blankets.

Urban Outfitters: UO always has great tapestries, cushions and more with a boho twist or vintage-inspired aesthetic. Lately, we’ve spotted a lot of funky 70s florals and colors.

Kirkland’s: Have you ever seen so many pillows under $40?! Kirkland’s also routinely does $9.99 pillow sales and coupons online.

H&M Home: Like the company’s clothes, H&M pays close attention to trends in design. And H&M Home has some spot-on throw blankets, from washed linen to muslin cotton.

Bed Bath & Beyond: If you’re shopping for your kids’ room, BB&B has great bedding and throws for kids’ rooms that are so much more affordable than Pottery Barn Kids. They also have adorable decor for nurseries, from mobiles to storage solutions.

Best for Rugs

Overstock: Overstock is always a solid go-to for budget home furniture and decor, but some of the best deals are on rugs. You can score big on jute and sisal area rugs and rug runners.

RugsUSA: Not only are the prices good, but the designs are sometimes total dupes for West Elm and Anthropologie styles.

Ruggable: For kitchen accent rugs, dining room area rugs or any other room where there could be spills, head to Ruggable. The prices are in the low to middle range for rugs, the selection is vast and the clutch feature is that these rugs are completely machine washable.  And, if you’re shopping for a kids’ room, the best and least pricey washable rugs with adorable designs from stars to dinosaurs can be found here.

eSaleRugs: Shopping for XL area rugs? Check out eSaleRugs. There’s almost always a sale for up to 70 percent off rugs including boho, modern and other trendy styles.

Best for Art + Wall Decor

Society6: Score tons of prints, tapestries, canvases and more wall art under $75 at Society6. The framing options are fairly budget-friendly, too.

Etsy: For handmade wall decor, there’s no better place to shop than Etsy. There’s also a huge number of artists who sell digital downloads under $10 so you can print out the art at home for less.

Minted: What started as an affordable place to buy wedding invitations and greeting cards has exploded into a full-service art shop with tons of framing and canvas options.

ArtSugar: If you love all things whimsy and color, ArtSugar is a great place to shop for pop art. And you can even score select canvas art for just $50.

Best for Accents + Knick-Knacks

Kirkland’s: Don’t sleep on Kirkland’s. The decor chain has great deals on accent tables, chairs and holiday decor.

Nordstrom Rack: Designer picture frames and accessories for 40-75 percent off? Yes, please. This is one of our favorite places to stock up on hostess gifts.

Walmart: Of course, Walmart has great prices, but it’s noteworthy for its trendy celebrity collabs, especially with the Drew Barrymore Flower Home line. This collection features some gorgeous accent chairs that look could easily be mistaken for Anthropologie or West Elm.

TJ Maxx: Everything you love about shopping the home clearance aisle in-store is online, too. Browse accents such as bookends, candles, decorative bowls and more for a deep discount.

Best for Lighting

Target: This is hands down the first place HGTV experts shop for lighting because the designs are good and the prices are low, from $10 table lamps to $20 chandeliers to $25 sconces. And the new Opalhouse + Jungalow lighting collection is absolutely stunning.

World Market: Score statement chandeliers and pendant lighting with natural materials such as bamboo, jute and seagrass for a fraction of the cost as other brands with similar designs.

Wayfair: This is one of the largest lighting collections to shop online with tons of options under $100. Bonus: There’s always a great sale section.

The Home Depot: Suprised to see a hardware store on the list? The Home Depot actually has a huge selection of trendy lighting, from brass bathroom lights to modern chandeliers a la West Elm.
