It’s just a few weeks until Halloween, which means it’s time for us to start filling our cabinets with candy that we swear we’ll save for trick-or-treaters. And, just in time for the year’s most sugar-centric holiday, Hershey has announced a new collab with Crocs, which pays homage to its classic candy lineup.
As Food & Wine reports, the Hershey x Crocs kicks come in two versions: one is a deep chocolatey brown that conjures images of the OG Hershey chocolate bar, and the other is a Reese’s orange number that looks like …well, you get it. Both styles are available in a range of sizes for adults and children, and they can be further customized with a set of exclusive Jibbitz charms shaped like Hershey’s Kisses, Hershey Bars, and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.
The limited-edition Crocs are available now at Champs Sports, Foot Locker, Kids Foot Locker, and Crocs.com. Adult styles have a suggested retail price of $55, while their adult counterparts retail for $65.
This isn’t the first food-themed collab for Crocs. Earlier in September, the Colorado-based company teamed up with your favorite chef’s favorite apron-maker for the Hedley & Bennett for Crocs shoe in two stylish colorways. Those followed the ultra-exclusive Crocs x Pop-Tarts crossover, which came with both Pop-Tarts shaped Jibbitz and a kit that allowed whoever got their hands on a pair to make and frost their own Pop-Tarts topped with mini-Crocs (say that five times fast).
Crocs has also released a pair of purple-and-black Taco Bell-branded slides and some marbled pastel Margaritaville Crocs that came with a wide range of Jimmy Buffett-related Jibbitz, including a shot glass, a parrot-shaped bottle opener and, of course, a “lost shaker” of salt.
This isn’t Hershey’s only recent partnership either: earlier this week, the Pennsylvania candymaker announced that it was teaming up with Haribo to release bags of assorted mini candies for the first time. The new Halloween-themed assortments will include Hershey’s chocolate bars, Jolly Ranchers lollipops, Kit Kats, Reese’s Cups, Twizzlers Twists, and little bags of Haribo Goldbears.
“[W]e’re thrilled to create more Halloween happiness through this new powerhouse partnership with The Hershey Company,” Rick LaBerge, the chief commercial officer for Haribo of America, Inc., said in a statement. “This opportunity to delight fans with America’s #1 candy manufacturer and America’s #1 gummi brand all in one bag, makes it more fun and easier than ever for our fans to be the best house on the block this Halloween.”
Just remember, those bags of candy are for the trick-or-treaters. Or at least the next one will be.
