Jackson Browne was in the news last year for eulogizing his late fiend Glenn Fry, a touching moment for any rocker. Jackson has performed at a few benefit concerts this year, and he and Government Mule are on the road in Australia as we speak.
Jackson is a Folk Rock writer and recording artist considered to be a founding member of the California Folk Rock explosion in the 70s. This genre gave us the Eagles, Joni Mitchell, Outlaws, Warren Zevon and more. Jackson initially wrote many of the songs of that era, and evolved into a musician joining the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band in late 1966. Jackson’s first big single was ‘Doctor My Eyes” released from the self-entitle Jackson Browne album in 1972, and he continued to write and perform with great success as a solo artist.
