At dark o’clock on Thanksgiving morning, when you have two handfuls of stuffing, and you’re up to your elbows in a partially frozen turkey, do you ever think, “How does Martha Stewart always make this look so easy?” Or “Why can’t I just go to Martha’s for Thanksgiving?” As far as we know, the undisputed Queen of Thanksgiving (and Queen of Literally Every Other Occasion) doesn’t just hand out invites to her own autumnal meals – but there is a way that you can spend two days before Thanksgiving at her incredible New York farm.
As Food & Wine reports, Booking.com has partnered with Martha Stewart to offer two extraordinarily lucky people the chance to book a two-day, one-night stay at her 150-acre Bedford, New York estate. The trip will take place on Saturday, November 18, and Sunday, November 19, and, of course, the itinerary looks wonderful.
According to Booking.com, after arriving at the property, the two guests will stop by the Tenant House, where they’ll be overnighting before joining Ryan McCallister, Martha’s longtime head gardener, for a guided tour of the grounds, gardens, chicken coop, and stables. Later that day, they’ll enjoy table-setting and wreath-making demonstrations with Kevin Sharkey, the executive director of design for, well, Martha’s … entire media empire. (When your own Thanksgiving guests compliment you on your gorgeous tablescape, imagine being able to casually say, “Oh, that? It’s just a little something I picked up at Martha Stewart’s last week.”)
We’re sure that the Tenant House is incredibly comfortable, but it’s going to be almost impossible to sleep because, on that Sunday morning, the guests will be joining MARTHA STEWART HERSELF for a special brunch prepared by James Beard Award-winning Chef Thomas Joseph. Then, when they’ve regulated their breathing and kind of pulled themselves together, they’ll be given signed copies of Martha’s cookbooks and a few other goodies before being driven back to the airport.
“Thanksgiving has always been one of my favorite holidays to celebrate, which is why I’m excited to be Booking.com’s newest host and welcome guests to my Bedform farm for a Thanksgiving-inspired stay ahead of the big day,” Stewart said in a statement. “Every year, my Thanksgiving holiday prep begins weeks before hosting my family in Bedford, so I can’t wait to welcome the guests that book this experience to my fall-ready Tenant House on the farm and look forward to sharing my favorite Thanksgiving-inspired traditions during their stay.”
Martha Stewart’s Thanksgiving-Inspired Farm Stay is available exclusively on Booking.com, and the single one-night reservation is being offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Set your clocks: the property will be bookable at 12 p.m. EST on Thursday, November 16.
The price for this experience has been set at $11.23 — the date of Thanksgiving this year — and the cost includes one night in the Tenant House, the full itinerary above, and transportation from the airport to Martha’s estate. Note: According to Booking.com, if the winner is coming from outside New York state, they will be responsible for their own air travel. (The closest airports are either LaGuardia or the much smaller Westchester County.)
