It’s the day before Thanksgiving, so let’s keep it light with a few country music news headlines…
Troy Gentry tragically died this year in a helicopter accident in New Jersey, leaving fans to wonder what would happen to Montgomery Gentry. This week, Eddie Montgomery revealed that the show must go on, Montgomery Gentry will continue recording and touring under the same name.

You don’t often think of country music stars who are also great athletes, but Jake Owen has been given a sponsor’s exemption to play in the 2018 The Nashville Golf Open which benefits the Snedeker Foundation. Jake has played in many Pro-Ams over the years, but this is close to home, a Web.com event held at the Nashville Golf & Athletic Club May 21st through the 27th, 2018.

Prayers and good thoughts out to Mac McAnally who suffered a heart attack last week in Los Angeles. Mac was in the spotlight recently as the winner of his ninth CMA, earning the ‘Musician of the Year’ honor November 8th.
