Harry Styles Goes Full Pizza Rat for Historic Madison Square Garden Finale

Harry Styles gave New York City one last unforgettable Halloween surprise as he brought his record-setting Madison Square Garden residency to a close on Saturday, October 31.

The Grammy-winning singer celebrated the final night of his 30-show run by transforming himself into one of the city’s most recognizable internet celebrities: Pizza Rat.

Styles appeared onstage in a furry brown rat costume, complete with a long pink tail, sunglasses and an oversized slice of pizza. The outfit was a playful tribute to the rodent that became an online sensation after being filmed carrying pizza through a New York City subway station.

The unusual Halloween look was part of the singer’s Harryween celebration, an annual concert tradition that gives Styles and his fans an opportunity to embrace elaborate costumes and unexpected performances.

But the costume wasn’t the evening’s only surprise.

During the concert, Styles performed a rendition of Talking Heads’ 1977 hit “Psycho Killer,” bringing a classic rock favorite into his Halloween set. By that point, he had traded the full rat costume for a simpler outfit featuring brown shorts, a tail and a white T-shirt declaring “I AM A RAT.”

The performance added another memorable moment to a weekend of Halloween festivities. During the previous night’s concert, Styles had dressed as Elvis Presley before revisiting his teenage appearance on The X Factor, where his music career first gained international attention.

Saturday’s celebration also marked a significant professional milestone.

Styles completed 30 consecutive sold-out performances at Madison Square Garden, doubling the length of his previous 15-show residency at the legendary Manhattan venue.

To recognize the achievement, New York Knicks captain Jalen Brunson joined the singer onstage and presented a commemorative banner honoring the residency. The banner was raised into the arena’s rafters, placing Styles’ accomplishment alongside other major moments in the venue’s history.

The emotional recognition reflected the scale of the 10-week engagement, which began August 26 and drew more than half a million concertgoers. According to Madison Square Garden Entertainment, fans traveled from every U.S. state and 79 countries to attend the performances.

The residency also featured electronic musician Jamie xx as a special guest and represented Styles’ only United States concert dates of 2026.

Although the Halloween finale marked the end of his New York engagement, Styles’ Together, Together tour is far from finished. The singer is scheduled to return to North America in April 2027 for another series of performances.

For now, the final Madison Square Garden concert leaves fans with an unusual combination of memories: a historic arena achievement, a surprise Talking Heads cover and one of the most distinctly New York Halloween costumes imaginable.

After 30 sold-out nights, Styles found a fitting way to say goodbye to the city, complete with a giant slice of pizza.
