Back in 2021, Harry Styles changed the lyrics to his track “Watermelon Sugar” to the “Banana Song” in order to shout out a fan dressed as a banana in the audience. The moment quickly became an inside joke with Styles’ fans, where fans would often go to shows dressed as produce to get Styles’ attention.
On Tuesday, March 7th, at the Mt Smart Stadium in Auckland, New Zealand Styles brought out the Banana Song after seeing a few fans dressed as bananas. He sang, “She’s dressed as a banana / She’s dressed as a banana / Aye, aye aye, There’s two more bananas / Aye, aye, aye / One, two, three, four bananas / I can see a fifth banana.”
He expanded on the song after noticing fans dressed as peas singing, “There’s two people dressed up as peas / There’s two people dressed up as peas, Is there anyone dressed as an aubergine? / Is there anyone dressed as an aubergine? / No, no, no, there’s not, there’s not an aubergine.”
Styles just concluded his Tour dates for Australia and New Zealand and will go to Asia in just a few weeks. Making stops in Thailand, the Philippines, South Korea, Japan and other places.
