The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is doubling down on star power for its 40th annual induction ceremony, bringing in Chappell Roan and The Killers to round out a glittering list of presenters and performers. The milestone event, set for November 8 at the Peacock Theater in downtown Los Angeles, promises a night of musical tributes, surprise pairings, and high-voltage performances.
Roan and The Killers join an already packed roster that includes the likes of Elton John, Doja Cat, Brandi Carlile, Missy Elliott, Olivia Rodrigo, Questlove, Iggy Pop, Beck, and more. Whether these artists will be performing or presenting remains a closely guarded secret, leaving fans to dream up their ideal matchups.
This year’s Hall of Fame inductees span decades and genres. Bad Company, Chubby Checker, Joe Cocker, Cyndi Lauper, Outkast, Soundgarden, and the White Stripes lead the class as elected performers. Meanwhile, Salt-N-Pepa and Warren Zevon are recognized for Musical Influence, with Musical Excellence honors going to Thom Bell, Nicky Hopkins, and legendary session bassist Carol Kaye. Lenny Waronker receives the Ahmet Ertegun Award, highlighting his behind-the-scenes impact on the music industry.
For the first time, the ceremony will stream live on Disney+ across all U.S. time zones, offering viewers a front-row seat to one of music’s most iconic nights. A condensed, prime-time version will air on ABC on New Year’s Day, with on-demand access via Hulu beginning January 2.
Whether Roan lights up the stage with a salute to Cyndi Lauper or The Killers deliver a thunderous tribute to the White Stripes, one thing’s certain: this year’s Rock Hall induction will be a genre-spanning spectacle worth watching.
