Luxury fashion powerhouse Gucci has just announced that three of Hollywood’s hottest stars will be the new faces of its iconic Gucci Guilty fragrance collection. Grammy Award-nominated musician A$AP Rocky, Golden Globe and Emmy Award-winning actress Julia Garner, and Oscar-nominated actor, director, and producer, Elliot Page will be starring in the upcoming campaign set to launch on March 1st.
According to a press release, these stars personify “an ode to self-acceptance, friendship and love in all its forms through a story of tenderness, imagination, and curiosity.” But it’s more than that – they’re actual fans of the brand. Since the early days of his career, Gucci’s been an A$AP favorite. So much so, that the brand offered the 34-year-old a campaign spot alongside Tyler, The Creator and Iggy Pop in 2020.
Rocky, Page and Garner are heralding a new era for the fragrance in a campaign shot by photographer Glen Luchford. Rocky’s in a blouse with gigantic flower brooch, Page is in a Hawaiian shirt (you know, that one worn by McKauley Culkin in the brand’s Love Parade catwalk show) and Garner’s in a faux fur jacket. It is, in short, A Crew.
To celebrate the campaign’s launch, A$AP Rocky and Julia Garner also attended the highly anticipated Gucci Fall Winter 2023 show on February 24th during Milan Fashion Week, where Rocky showed off his new look: the Gucci logo woven into his braids.
It’ll come as no surprise that Gucci has tapped Rocky and co. It has a glittering history of banking on starry names for its campaigns, including Lana Del Rey, Miley Cyrus, Harry Styles, Dakota Johnson, and most recently, Ryan Gosling, who was the face of its Valigeria campaign, which is centred around its luxury GG travel gear.
The scent, which is the brainchild of Gucci’s go-to nose Aurelien Guichard and has a recognizable peppery, mandarin-laden smell, has been a hit since its 2010 launch. Gucci Guilty fragrances are available for purchase on gucci.com as well as in select Gucci boutiques, retailers, and perfumeries worldwide.
