When Jonathan Anderson was named the new creative director of Dior, it set the fashion industry abuzz wondering what would happen to the incredible brand ambassadors he’d named over the course of his time at LOEWE.
Now, as Hypebae reports, there’s no need to wonder because Dior has just announced that actress and writer Greta Lee is officially an ambassador for the brand. For those of you who keep track of these things, you may remember that Lee was previously an ambassador at LOEWE — during Anderson’s reign, of course — so it makes sense then that she’d follow him onto his next venture.
Not surprisingly, the formal announcement comes not long after Lee was spotted at the Venice Film Festival in two new Dior looks. “Her talent and instinctive elegance – revealed in particular by her moving role in Celine Song’s Past Lives and this year by her performance in Kent Jones’ Late Fame – make her one of the most remarkable, unique contemporary actresses. This inspiring new alliance resonates perfectly with the House’s ever-evolving creativity,” reads Dior’s official statement.
Stay tuned for more updates on Anderson’s past and present ambassadors.
