Gregg Allman is thrilled to announce that his new album “Southern Blood” is finished and will be released in January of 2017. Gregg recently played the ‘Laid Back Festival’ in Atlanta, GA with a slew of talented southern rockers to SRO crowds.
Gregg has certainly had a wild and crazy life, being a founding member of Southern Rock in the early 70s, battling addition, losing a brother, being married to pop legend and diva Cher, while celebrating induction into the Rock N’ Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the Allman Brothers in 1995.
Did you know that although the band is credited for being from Macon, GA, Gregg was actually born in Nashville, TN? Gregg has five children, none with Cher, and lives in Georgia while not on the road. Gregg’s 2015 LP was called “Gregg Allman Live: Back to Macon GA” his eighth solo project, enjoying moderate success in record sales.
In breaking news Gregg has been diagnosed with brused vocal cords and will miss the first two nights of his lengthy New York City gig, but will be fine for the remainder of the New York City engagements this November.
