Green Day is set to tour Australia next year with a multi-date stadium tour. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famers will kick off The Saviors Tour at Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium on March 1, followed by a show at Sydney’s Engie Stadium on March 3, and conclude at CBUS Super Stadium on the Gold Coast on March 5.
Fans can expect full performances of their classic albums Dookie, celebrating its 30th anniversary, and American Idiot, which turns 20. The setlist will also include songs from their latest album, Saviors, along with hits spanning their career.
Joining Green Day on tour is West Coast rock band AFI, marking their first Australian dates since 2017. “We’ve never been more excited to unleash new music than with Saviors, a record that’s meant to be rocked live, together,” the band said in a statement. “And we cannot wait to return to Australia, it’s been way too long. So let’s thrash.”
Presented by Live Nation and Triple M, the tour marks Green Day’s first visit to Australia since their cancelled 2020 Hella Mega Tour due to the pandemic. Earlier this year, Saviors debuted at No. 2 on the ARIA Chart, becoming their 12th top 10 album in Australia.
