According to cbssports.com, the Green Bay Packers are entering the new season with some challenges to their roster. Earlier in the off-season they traded Aaron Rodgers’ number one target Davante Adams to the las Vegas Raiders and lost their number two receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling to the Kansas City Chiefs. The Packers attempted to combat this by bringing in draft picks Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs, along with free agent signing Sammy Watkins. However, they received some unfortunate news over the weekend as left tackle David Bakhtiari has been placed on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list as training camp gets started. According to Packers coach Matt LaFleur, “Time will tell, We fully anticipate him being ready to go, but, you know, we did last year as well. I think time will tell. We feel good about the work he’s put in and where he’s at.” Bakhtiari missed every game but one last season after tearing his ACL in December of 2020. He is a player to keep an eye on considering how many games he has missed in the past season, it may be a cause for concern in the future for the Packers.
