Gladys Knight ‘s Heath Scare and Brief Tour

Recently while attending Aretha Franklin’s funerial services, Motown Legend Gladys Knight revealed that she too had a big cancer scare a few years ago, but chose to keep it a secret and fight through the disease successfully. We think Aretha’s death has had a profound impact on Gladys, as she’s just announced a rare tour in the UK (where she has always been appreciated) that will begin in July of 2019.

Gladys is now 74, with so much chart history to boast about; the songs that made her a legend include her signature tune “Midnight Town to Georgia,” “The Way We Were/Try to Remember” “Neither One of Us” “License to Kill,” and “Baby Don’t’ Change Your Mind,” and “IF I Were You’re Woman.” Here are the June 2019 UK tour stops…

June 22 – Manchester 02 Apollo
June 23 – Leeds First Direct Arena
June 24 – Birmingham Symphony Hall
June 26 and 27 – London Royal Albert Hall
June 29 – Bournemouth International Centre
June 30 – Nottingham Royal Concert Hall
