English singer James Bay is on the charts with a wonderful song “Let it Go” which was certified platinum this week. Let’s spend a few minutes getting to know more about this 25-year-old phenom.
James was born in Hitchin-Hertfordshire England in 1990, being so moved by the unplugged version of “Layla” by Eric Clapton, he knew that he wanted to play classical guitar when he grew up. James is yet another singer that was discovered on YouTube and he would sign a record contract and release his first album in 2013.
James has been nominated three times for a Grammy, while winning the ‘Critic’s Choice Award’ in the 2016 Brit Awards. The highlight of his career to date was performing with Tori Kelly at the 2016 Grammy awards ceremony, as he was nominated for ‘Best New Artist.’
