March is the month when we try to eat as many green treats as possible, for obvious reasons. So it’s no wonder why we’ll be indulging in Krispy Kreme’s new Luck O’ the Doughnuts Collection in honor of St. Patrick’s Day.
You can feel the luck of the Irish with festive donuts, which include the Lucky Gold Coin, Lucky Sprinkles, Lucky Unicorn, and Lucky Unicorn Doughnuts. Noticing a theme? If you venture to Krispy Kreme on March 16 or 17, those are the days the O’riginal Glazed Doughnut, which are Original Glazed donuts that have been turned green — will be added to the menu.
- Lucky Gold Coin Doughnut: An Original Glazed doughnut dipped in white icing, decorated with a green icing swirl, and sprinkled with lucky gold coins
- Lucky Sprinkles Doughnut: An Original Glazed doughnut dipped in green icing and topped with a festive shamrock sprinkle blend
- Lucky Unicorn Doughnut: An Original Glazed doughnut filled with Kreme, dipped in white icing, and hand-decorated to resemble a magical unicorn
- Lucky Leprechaun Doughnut: A doughnut filled with Cookies and Kreme, dipped in green icing, decorated with plaid icing stripes, and topped with a Leprechaun Hat sugar piece.
To kick off the St. Patrick’s Day celebration, Krispy Kreme is giving out one free O’riginal Glazed Doughnut to every person who wears green on March 16 and 17 at their shop. So just head to a location (in-store, pick-up, or drive-thru) and claim yours. “Come get a taste of our Luck O’ the Doughnuts Collection now through St. Patrick’s Day.
And to top it off, on March 16th and 17th, you’ll get a free, delicious green O’riginal Glazed doughnut if you wear green!” Dave Skena, Krispy Kreme chief marketing officer, said in a press release. Now you just have decide which of the five donut offerings you’re going to have first.
