Gentle Monster, the South Korean luxury fashion eyewear brand, is back with another major launch, but this time, it’s not exactly a killer brand collaboration.
As Hypebae reports, hot on the heels of collabs with the likes of Mugler, Maison Margiela and Bratz, the cult-loved eyewear label has set its sights on a different kind of partnership this time around.
Tapping the legendary British actor Tilda Swinton, the newest release transports us to the world of HAUS Nowhere, described as a “transcendent and ever-evolving space,” according to the brand’s press release. Debuting the new “Bold 2” collection, Swinton stars in the futuristic campaign, pushing the brand into a fearless new era.
Gentle Monster is known for its avant-garde and artistic designs, which are often considered wearable art. Founded in 2011, the brand has gained international acclaim by challenging traditional eyewear aesthetics and creating innovative, statement-making sunglasses and glasses frames.
Featuring several new optical styles alongside sunglasses, the new release builds on the first “Bold” collection, with styles like Fuse, Hypnosis and Sigeur. Landing in hues of striking silver, sleek black and lilac, the collection offers a slew of different silhouettes.
Take a look at the campaign and collection silhouettes on the brand’s website, before “Bold 2” lands via Gentle Monster on September 6.
