Genesis Founder Tony Banks Drops ‘Five’ Album This Month

Phil Collins and Tony Banks founded Genesis decades ago, eventually growing into a commercial success, selling millions of records. We know that Phil has become a big solo artist, but others in the band have also continued to make great music. Now, keyboardist Tony Banks is working on a project that brings the orchestra on stage, with his latest album ‘Five’ dropping February 23rd.

Tony continues his exploration of combining rock and orchestral music on his latest solo album, ‘Five,’ his 10th LP as a solo artist, will be released in the U.S. on February 23. The album contains only five tracks and the third project that deploys an orchestra. His earlier albums include ‘Seven: A Suite for Orchestra’ and ‘Six Pieces for Orchestra,’ which was released a few years ago. ‘Five’ is born from sessions at London’s Angel Studios, and other recordings with the iconic Czech National Symphony. Tony worked closely with British conductor Nick Ingman for the album. Again, ‘Five’ is set to be released February 23rd.
