The Open took place over the weekend and what a tournament it was. Taking place in Scotland, The Open had a loaded field including Tiger Woods who at one point was in the lead on Sunday. It wasn’t Woods that would finish at the top though, instead it would be Francesco Molinari.
Molinari’s win came on the backs of an impressive 65 on Saturday, but it was his 69 on Sunday that helped him outlast the four-way tie in second place: Kevin Kisner, Rory McIlroy, Xander Schauffele, and Justin Rose. Those four would end two strokes behind Molinari at -6. Woods would finish the tournament at -5.
Congratulations to Francesco Molinari, The Open winner who is now nearly $1.9 million richer thanks to his great talent.
