According to sportingnews.com, Former NFL Running Back Marshawn Lynch has been arrested and booked for DUI charges in Las Vegas City Jail, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department announced on Tuesday. According to reports from TMZ, Lynch had been pulled over at around 7:25 a.m. on Tuesday near the Las Vegas Strip on Fairfield Avenue and West Utah Avenue. Lynch was reportedly driving into curbs on the side of the road prior to the traffic stop. According to TMZ, “Witnesses tell us they saw Lynch parked at the scene around 5:45 AM — roughly two hours before his arrest — and claim at one point, the running back exited his car to sit on the curb with the driver-side door wide open. We’re told Lynch remained at the scene until cops arrived … who ultimately determined he was impaired and arrested him for driving under the influence.” According to Lynch’s attorney Ivan Golde, “We got a wet reckless (alcohol-related reckless driving charge), and Marshawn didn’t want to do a public trial,” Golde told USA Today. “It was based on an unsafe lane change with some alcohol in his system, but not above .08.”
