Former Cameraman Sues Megan Thee Stallion for Hostile Work Environment

Emilio Garcia, a former personal cameraman for Grammy-winning artist Megan Thee Stallion, has filed a lawsuit against the hip-hop star, alleging harassment and a hostile work environment. The legal action, lodged in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Tuesday, details an incident where Garcia claims he was confined in a moving vehicle abroad while Megan engaged in sexual activities with another woman.

According to Garcia, following the incident, he received a stern warning never to discuss what he witnessed. The complaint describes subsequent adverse treatment, including being publicly berated and fat-shamed by Megan, which purportedly contributed to an unbearable work setting.

Garcia asserts that the harassment he endured was so intense and frequent that it significantly altered his professional conditions, leading him to deem his work environment abusive. The lawsuit seeks monetary compensation, although it specifically does not include claims of sexual harassment.

In response to the allegations, Megan Thee Stallion’s lawyer, Alex Spiro, remarked, “This is an employment claim for money — with no sexual harassment claim filed and with salacious accusations to attempt to embarrass her. We will deal with this in court.”

Garcia had started working with Megan, whose legal name is Megan Pete, in 2018 and became her full-time personal cameraman in 2019 until his departure in June 2023. Representatives for Roc Nation, Megan’s management company, have yet to respond to the allegations.
