According to pitchfork.com, the Foo Fighters are releasing their new compilation album, The Essential Foo Fighters, on October 28th via Sony Legacy. The compilation follows the group’s Greatest Hits album from 2009, that included 19 tracks on CD along with two additional songs, “Breakout” and “Waiting On A War.” The album marks the band’s first release since drumer Taylor Hawkins passed away earlier on this year. The compilation album will feature songs from each of their studio albums from their 1995 self-titled debut to 2021’s Medicine at Midnight, excluding 2014’s Sonic Highways.
