According to ultimateclassicrock.com, Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers has revealed why he isn’t a fan of fans asking for photos with him. He explained why in a series of tweets on Twitter, after a fan named Luke posted a short video, of a conversation he and some friends had with Flea and singer Anthony Kiedis. Luke was quoted in saying, “Thank you (and AK) for being so kind and genuine while meeting us, You both are such rays of sunshine; you didn’t have to stop and chat but you did and I hope you know that you really impacted our lives. we love you and AK with all of our hearts!” Flea later responded saying, “It’s because you all generated a kind and gentle light, and you didn’t ask for a picture. We are always down to talk and chat; asking for a photo ruins it instantly.” When asked what was wrong with asking for photos he replied, “There’s nothing wrong with it, But it ruins having actual conversation. It is a transaction.” The Red Hot Chili Peppers are currently touring prior to the release of Return of the Dream Canteen, their second album release this year, that is scheduled for October 14th.
