Fixer Upper star Joanna Gaines to Host her own Cooking Show

Joanna Gaines, queen of all things lifestyle and interior design, pretty much confirmed this weekend that she is getting her own cooking show and finally making a triumphant return to our TV screens.

Joanna and her husband Chip seemingly spilled the beans during an appearance on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon. The pair was discussing their upcoming TV takeover with the Magnolia network, as well as the release of Joanna’s new cookbook, Magnolia Table, Volume 2. Jimmy put two-and-two together and made the suggestion we’ve all been dreaming of.

“I don’t want to tell you how to do your network, but I would do a cooking show if I were you,” he told her.  “I like that idea, Jimmy. Now you’ve got to talk to this guy,” she said, gesturing to Chip.  “No, I’m cool with it, I’m cool with it,” Chip replied. “You’re talking to the executives to the Magnolia Network, and when Jimmy Fallon says Jo should do a cooking show, I vote that Jo does a cooking show.”

Jimmy then suggested himself as a guest and pressed Jo a bit to see if she was serious.  “We’re doing one,” she said. “Yes, we’re going to do it.”

Judging by the crowd’s reaction, everyone’s on board with the idea. Although it’s easy to chalk this up to a late-night joke, Discovery Communications seemingly confirmed the show to The Wrap“Additional details will be released in the coming months, but this marks the first official sign of Joanna’s return to television,” Discovery’s statement read.

Back in 2016, Jo said she wanted a cooking show when she and Chip were still hosting Fixer Upper.  Crossing fingers this is really happening soon!
