Korn bassist Reginald “Fieldy” Arvizu has provided a rare update on his status with the band during a recent appearance on The Dr. Greenthumb Show, hosted by Cypress Hill’s B-Real. While fans have long speculated about his return, Fieldy made it clear that, for now, he remains apart from the band.
“I won’t be playing any shows,” he said. “But we’ll see what tomorrow brings. You never know, but for now, no.”
Fieldy has been on hiatus since 2021, citing personal issues at the time. During his absence, Suicidal Tendencies bassist Ra Diaz has been filling in for live performances. What’s perhaps more surprising is Fieldy’s admission that he hasn’t communicated with any of his Korn bandmates since 2019—well before his official break began.
The news casts further uncertainty on the possibility of a reunion, especially with Korn continuing to tour and record without him. Still, Fieldy’s comments leave a small window open for the future.
For now, longtime fans will have to wait and see whether the founding bassist’s path eventually leads back to the band that helped pioneer the nu-metal movement.
