Fergie Chosen to Sing National Anthem at NBA Party

Fergie will be on the court for the upcoming NBA mid-season classic, the All-Star Game. No, she isn’t one of the players in the lineup; rather she’ll be singing the National Anthem at the game of stars. Fergie has a full schedule of activities, as she also appeared on the reality singing show ‘The Four.’

In September of last year, husband Josh Duhamel and she announced a separation after eight years of marriage, giving her more time to focus on her career. Her career began as an original member of the popular Black Eyed Peas, with her first solo LP ‘Duchess’ dropping in 2006, yielding the chart-toppers “Glamorous,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” and “London Bridge.”

Fergie will sing the American National Anthem, while the Canadian stars Barenaked Ladies will be singing the Canadian national anthem. The other entertainers that night will be Kevin Hart and Pharrell Williams, who will entertain at halftime… The big game is Sunday, February 18 at Staples Center, live on TNT beginning at 8 pm.
