Falling in Reverse has severed ties with longtime guitarist Max Georgiev following serious allegations that have sparked public controversy and internal fallout for the band. The decision, made in 2024, came to light when frontman Ronnie Radke took to social media to explain Georgiev’s sudden departure.
According to Radke, Georgiev privately admitted to having been involved in an inappropriate relationship with a minor more than a decade ago, well before his time with Falling in Reverse. Radke claimed he learned of the alleged incident through Georgiev’s former girlfriend and said he could not ignore the gravity of the situation, regardless of how long ago it took place.
Radke initially shared his reasoning via an Instagram Story, followed by a livestream elaborating on the situation. These disclosures prompted swift online debate, further amplified by the band leader’s assertion that his social media accounts had been suspended or limited, potentially in connection with the statements he made about Georgiev.
In response, Max Georgiev issued a firm denial. He told fans that he has “never done anything illegal with a minor,” emphasizing that he was living in Quebec at the time the alleged incident is said to have happened. Georgiev also noted that no previous bandmates or professional affiliations had ever raised concerns about his conduct.
The situation places Falling in Reverse under intense public scrutiny yet again, continuing a pattern of high-profile controversies surrounding the group. While Radke has stood by his decision to cut ties, the band has yet to comment on any plans for replacing Georgiev or addressing the fallout further.
As both parties remain entrenched in their positions, the music world watches closely to see how one of alternative rock’s most polarizing acts navigates its latest internal storm.
