Fabulous, Lil Kim, and Ma$e are just some of the names that are joining DJ Cassidy’s Pass the Mic tour when it starts later on this year. The New York DJ announced the tour on Wednesday, March 8th, the inaugral concert will have performances from Ashanti, 122 and others.
The tour gets started on May 12th at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, after DJ Cassidy will host one night only events throughout the rest of the year.
Dj Cassidy stated via a press release, “I am overwhelmed with excitement and emotion as I announce the first in a series of one-night-only’ Pass The Mic Live!’ events, Transforming a show that began in my living room into a live arena concert is simply surreal. I am so honored to be uniting yet another iconic list of my musical heroes, this time live on stage, and I am so grateful for the Black Promoters Collective, whose grand vision, foresight, and experience, is my guiding light.”
The president of the Black Promoters Collective, Shelby Joyner added that, “DJ Cassidy is a shining light in pop culture, and we are honored to partner with him on what is sure to be one of the most epic tours of the year.”
General sale for tickets already started on Ticketmaster. Over the last two years, The Pass The Mic Series has grown from a viral Instagram show to a prime time event.
