It was an action-packed night in the NBA on Wednesday. There were many matchups between great teams, but a few games shined brighter than others.
The Detroit Pistons shockingly upset the Boston Celtics, 112-111. The Pistons ended their eight-game losing streak while simultaneously ending the Celtics’ nine-game winning streak.
The Brooklyn Nets beat the New York Knicks, 111-106. The Nets gave star Kevin Durant the night off, and Seth Curry and Cam Thomas substituted nicely by both scoring at least 20 points each.
The Chicago Bulls defeated the Sacramento Kings, 125-118. Bulls’ shooting forward DeMar DeRozan broke Hall of Famer Wilt Chamberlain’s NBA record by scoring 35 or more points and shooting 50% or better in seven consecutive games, while Chamberlain only did it with six games.
Finally, the Portland Trail Blazers traveled to Memphis and defeated the Grizzlies, 123-119. The Trail Blazers have won four games in a row and continue to look towards the playoffs.
