Ewan McGregor, famed for his portrayal of Obi-Wan Kenobi in the Star Wars saga, shared tales of incognito visits to Disneyland with his wife, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, during a panel at MegaCon in Orlando. The couple, who married in 2022, ventured into the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge area, blending in with the night-time crowd, hats donned to keep a low profile. Despite their stealth, McGregor couldn’t help but acknowledge the keen fans who recognized the Jedi Master among them, sharing a knowing wink that delighted those in the know.
The panel also delved into McGregor’s reunion with Hayden Christensen for the Disney+ series “Obi-Wan Kenobi,” highlighting the overwhelming excitement on set. Returning to their iconic roles brought a sense of nostalgia and joy, especially during their climactic fight scene, a moment McGregor described as “great.” Reflecting on their time filming the prequels, McGregor emphasized the close bond he shared with Christensen, likening it to a fraternal relationship.
In a touching revelation, Christensen admitted his daughter, Briar Rose, has yet to watch the Star Wars films, preferring the show “Liv and Maddie” instead. McGregor, on the other hand, is set to appear in “Bleeding Love” alongside his daughter Clara, continuing his diverse acting career beyond the galaxy far, far away.
