A vintage design seems to be all the hype right now, even in bathroom decor. Vintage mirrors or unique light fixtures – that you can find at garage sales or thrift shops – can certainly bring an interesting vibe to your private haven. You can also re-purpose an old dresser into a vanity. The entire look can be brought together with patterned ceramic tiles, or even by making gold-toned plumbing visible.
You can also go vintage with the thing that makes the biggest first impression: your door and entryway. Think about it: this is the best place to not worry about comfort, since no one tries to take a nap in the entry. Go for formality, classic style, rich tones, sumptuous fabrics and elegance here.
In the kitchen or dining room, brush the dust off those silver or porcelain plate collections and put them on display. Like hand-me-down jewelry or family heirlooms, collections are meant to be seen and appreciated, and they’re great conversation starters! And light fixtures and flooring are places where you can go retro in any room.
If vintage is your thing, try incorporating elements from this timeless trend.
