With summertime coming sometimes its best just to kick back, relax, and enjoy streaming. This month with ESPN+ you can do just that and fill up on female empowerment. For all of June, ESPN+ will be streaming a new bundle of content in order to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Title IX, a federal civil rights law that disallows same-sex discrimination and set up for equal opportunity for women to be able to participate in sports. Just to start off they will have several inspiring stories of great female athletes such as Venus Williams, Renee Richards, and Marion Jones. You can also learn more about Title IX and how it effected women via the platform by watching series’ such as “37 Words”, which offers a four part series that takes an up close look at culture, women, and their fight for equality within sports. The documentary series will be available starting on June 21st, with the second half of the series being released just a week later.
