The race for television’s biggest honors is officially underway after the Television Academy announced the nominees for the 2025 Primetime Emmy Awards.
Leading the field is Severance with an impressive 27 nominations, reinforcing its status as one of television’s most acclaimed dramas. Close behind is The Penguin with 24 nominations, while The White Lotus and The Studio each collected 23 nods, making them among this year’s strongest contenders.
The nominations reflect another highly competitive year for television, with streaming platforms continuing to dominate many of the major categories. Returning favorites will compete against several newer productions that have quickly earned both critical praise and industry recognition.
Actors, writers, directors and production teams across drama, comedy, limited series, reality programming and variety television were recognized for their work, highlighting the depth and diversity of this year’s television landscape.
