Elton John will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of his Honky Chateau through the release of an expanded version of the album that will be available on March 24th. The album was initially released in May of 1972 and ended up being John’s first char topping album and includes “Rocket Man” and “Honky Cat.”
The expanded celebratory version of the album is going to be available in multiple formats, including a two-CD set that has eight songs from the February 5th, 1972, show that took place at London’s Royal Festival Hall where the tracks were first played live.
