Ella Langley’s blockbuster run with “Choosin’ Texas” has reached another historic milestone.
The country star’s hit has logged a 17th week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, pushing past the 16-week reign Morgan Wallen achieved with “Last Night.” The accomplishment places Langley’s single among the longest-running chart-toppers in Hot 100 history.
Langley is holding off some formidable competition. Ariana Grande’s “Hate That I Made You Love Me” has climbed to No. 2, while Wallen’s “Been By Now” is at No. 3 on the latest chart.
Wallen and Langley may be battling for chart space, but the two artists also have plenty to celebrate together. Their collaboration “I Can’t Love You Anymore” has reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart, adding another major radio achievement to both artists’ increasingly crowded résumés.
Langley’s success is also arriving during a remarkable period for country music on the mainstream charts. Just a week earlier, country songs occupied all five of the top positions on the Hot 100, with Langley, Wallen, Taylor Swift and Stella Lefty among the artists represented.
For Langley, “Choosin’ Texas” has become far more than another successful single. Its extended stay at the summit has turned it into one of 2026’s defining crossover hits and placed her in rare chart territory.
The momentum is carrying onto the road as well. Langley’s Dandelion tour continues Aug. 13 at the Moody Center in Austin, with Kaitlin Butts and Gabriella Rose listed as special guests.
With 17 weeks already in the books, the biggest question now is how much longer “Choosin’ Texas” can keep its grip on No. 1.
