The sports world is getting slow, but the NBA has continued to stay hot. The NBA Draft is Thursday, tonight, Dwight Howard has opted out of his contract in Houston, and the Cavs had themselves a ridiculous parade. Let’s break it all down…
The NBA Draft is going down Thursday night and the number one pick is more than likely going to be Ben Simmons from LSU. The only other players in contention for this pick are Kris Dunn from Providence and Ben Ingram from Duke. There shouldn’t be a whole lot of debate as to who should go one, as Simmons has a lot of potential.
A few big trades were made on Wednesday. The Hawks traded Jeff Teague to the Pacers, who in turn traded George Hill to the Jazz, who finished the trade off by sending their 12th overall pick in the NBA Draft to the Hawks. Also, the Bulls and Knicks made a fairly big trade. They shipped out Derrick Rose among others to the Knicks for Robin Lopez and other smaller pieces.
Dwight Howard has seen the pot of gold at the other side of the rainbow and has opted out of his contract with the Houston Rockets. What’s amazing is that he turned down over $20 million this upcoming season! With the new salary cap getting bigger, he has an opportunity to get his last big contract.
The Cleveland Cavaliers celebrated the cities first championship and boy did they celebrate like it. The streets were packed since the early morning and the team had themselves a great time. What a time to be a live in Cleveland!
