The US Open is one of the hardest courses out there as seen by many of the scores after yesterday’s first round. Of all of the golfers who played in round one, just four are under par! Leading the way is Dustin Johnson who managed a healthy round. He’s tied for the lead with three others, all of them sitting at four under.
Would you like proof that Shinnecock Hills Golf Course is a tough one? Look at the names at the bottom of the leaderboard. Names like Phil Mickelson, Jordan Spieth, Rory McIlroy, Bubba Watson, Jason Day, Tiger Woods, and Bubba Watson are all seven over par or worse.
The second round has already begun, but the bigger names don’t tee off until a few minutes from now. Dustin Johnson tees off today at 8:02am Eastern.
