Dunkin’ Just Introduced a New “Pumpkin Spice” Girl

Every fall, people across the country trade out their signature coffee order for something a bit more seasonal. A bit more… pumpkin spicey. Now, as Delish reports, Dunkin’ is going all in on the “spice” factor by bringing in the Spice Girls to help get us all in the PSL mood.

“Spice Up Your Life” may have been a Spice Girls anthem once upon a time, but it doubles nicely as a mantra for PSL season, so Dunkin went the extra step, recruiting none other than Emma “Baby Spice” Bunton and Geri “Ginger Spice” Halliwell-Horner to promote the chain’s Pumpkin Spice Signature Latte and Dunkin’s Fall menu bakery treats.

In the ad, the two Spice Girls introduce a long-lost sixth bandmate who was just a little too ahead of her time… (drum roll)… Rachel Dratch as “Pumpkin Spice.” The fictional former pop star left the group to pursue her passion for lattes and reunites with Emma and Geri years later to reminisce about what could have been. “But at the end of the day, she was slightly too seasonal.”

Naturally, the reunion of Baby Spice and Ginger Spice, along with the addition of Pumpkin Spice, drew quite the reaction online. “This is the best thing I’ve ever seen,” a fan commented, with someone else keeping it simple, calling the ad “ICONIC.”

And once Spice Girls fans get involved, the puns are basically inevitable. “This is what we want, what we really really want,” one person wrote, while another offered, “Pumpkin spice up ur life,” another suggested. But perhaps the winner was this seasonal song remix of “Zig-a-zig-AUTUMN.”

The Pumpkin Spice Signature Latte can be ordered in-store or through the Dunkin’ app. To find a Dunkin’ near you, click here.
