Last month, Snoop Dogg acquired Death Row Records, a pivotal label where he and many others kicked off their rap careers in the early 90s.
While Snoop owns the rights to the label’s catalog, titles including Dr. Dre’s The Chronic, Tupac’s All Eyez On Me and The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory were intentionally left out of the deal.
In an interview, Snoop claimed he owned the rights to The Chronic. Dre’s attorney, however, has officially refuted the claim and simultaneously squashed reports of any future change of ownership.
“There are false reports out regarding ownership by Death Row of Dr. Dre’s The Chronic,” King said in a statement. “Dr. Dre owns 100 percent of The Chronic.”
