Donald Glover, known in the music world as Childish Gambino, has shared his thoughts on the highly publicized beef between Drake and Kendrick Lamar, revealing that he “enjoyed every minute” of the historic feud, but with a notable caveat.
During a recent livestream, Glover delved into his perspective on the current state of pop culture, lamenting what he perceives as a lack of fun. “The problem is we’re not having enough fun,” Glover told fans on Wednesday. “So this rollout that’s coming, it’s mostly about fun. I’m trying to have fun because I feel like there’s just people not having enough fun. Feeding cows is fun. ‘Cause if you think about it, the most fun we’ve had all year, think about it. The thing that connects us. When I was a kid, there were big things that would unite us and I just feel bad for y’all. I feel bad for some of y’all. This generation, y’all get bad stuff. Everything that everybody can get in on is usually messed up.”
Reflecting on the Drake and Kendrick Lamar beef, Glover admitted that while he enjoyed the drama, it carried a “kinda negative” undertone. “Even this year, the most fun we had was from a fight, a song from a fight, from a rap beef which I enjoyed every minute of,” he said. “It was very fun but still kinda negative in a certain light, I guess.”

He emphasized that the upcoming rollout aims to “recreate” the pure, joyous feelings he associates with simpler activities like feeding cows—a snippet of which he briefly shared during the livestream.
