Dolly Surprised by Her Eighth Grammy Win!

Dolly Parton is one of the most revered women in all of Country Music, working her way to the top from humble beginnings in Sevier County, TN. Now Dolly is back in the news with her eighth Grammy win, in collaboration with the contemporary vocal group Pentatonix, earning the award for ‘Best Country Duo/Group Performance category,’ for her 1973 hit “Jolene.”

Dolly Parton has sold over 100 million records, scored 25 number one songs, and has won a wide assortment of honors. They include eight Grammy, 10 Country Music Association, five Academy of Country Music, and three American Music Awards in her iconic career. Dolly has also been nominated for an Oscar.

In the summer of 2016, Dolly made news as she led many charitable efforts, lending a helping hand to the flood victims in middle Tennessee.

The Grammy was such a wonderful surprise, neither Pentatonix or Dolly was on hand at the Grammy ceremony. Can you imagine the look on her face at home when she heard her name announced?
