Dolly Parton, Keith Urban Lead Diverse Musicians Hall of Fame Class

The Musicians Hall of Fame is set to shine a spotlight on an impressive cross section of musical excellence with its newly announced class of inductees. The 2026 group reflects decades of influence across country, rock, pop, and soul, honoring both household names and the players whose work shaped countless recordings.

Among this year’s honorees are Dolly Parton and Keith Urban, two artists whose careers helped redefine modern country music while crossing seamlessly into the mainstream. Joining them is guitarist and producer Dann Huff, a cornerstone of Nashville’s studio scene whose sound has powered hits across multiple genres.

The induction class also recognizes George Thorogood & the Destroyers for their enduring impact on blues-driven rock, along with producer John Boylan, whose behind-the-board work helped bring major projects to life. Veteran session bassist Leland Sklar earns recognition for a career spent anchoring recordings by some of the biggest names in music, while Michael McDonald is celebrated for a voice and songwriting style that became a defining sound of late twentieth century pop and soul.

The late Nicky Hopkins is also being honored for his legendary session work, which left an indelible mark on classic recordings spanning rock’s most influential eras.

The induction ceremony will be held April 28 at The Fisher Center for the Performing Arts on the campus of Belmont University in Nashville. Event organizers say details regarding presenters and live performances will be announced closer to the ceremony date.

According to Musicians Hall of Fame leadership, the new class continues the organization’s mission of preserving and celebrating the artists and professionals who bring recorded music to life, whether they stand in the spotlight or shape the sound from behind it.
