Dolly Parton is Releasing a New Cookie Mix full of Fall Flavors

Even though we’ve not finished sweating through August, brands and retailers are already looking toward mid-to-late autumn. The Home Depot has already launched — and sold out of — its now signature 12-foot-tall skeletons, supermarkets have Halloween candy displays, and Pumpkin Spice-flavored everything has started to arrive on shelves.

Now, as Food & Wine reports, Duncan Hines is joining the annual Pumpkin Spice revival, with the latest release in its ongoing collaboration with country legend and all-around icon Dolly Parton.

The new Dolly Parton Pumpkin Spice Cookie Mix is now available at supermarkets, big box retailers, and through Instacart. The seasonal cookie mix produces two dozen “soft and chewy” pumpkin spice cookies, and the only other ingredients you need are an egg and a ½ cup of melted butter. In just 15 minutes, you can have an entire platter of Pumpkin Spice cookies — and each of these Duncan Hines mixes is Dolly Parton-approved.

Duncan and Dolly first collaborated in early 2022 with the release of the “Dolly’s Southern Favorites” line, which included two cake mixes and two frostings. The boxed mixes were based on some of the recipes that had been passed down through Parton’s family. Those original “Southern Favorites” were soon joined by three more cake mixes, two muffin mixes, and a buttermilk pancake mix.

“I loved co-creating my Duncan Hines line with Conagra, and I’m thrilled we’re going well beyond the baking aisle with new items across the store,” Parton said at the time. “We’re looking to continue to inspire special moments in the kitchen with some of my family’s favorite recipes, and I think people are really going to love them!”

Last fall, Parton added a holiday Sugar Cookie Kit to the lineup. The kit included a cookie mix, green frosting, a package of holiday sprinkles, and “a keepsake booklet.” Currently, the “Baking with Dolly” collection also includes a frozen cheesecake and frozen chocolate pie; muffin and pancake mixes; cornbread and biscuit mixes; frozen macaroni and cheese; cake and brownie mixes; and cake frosting.
