Diesel is getting into the festive spirit, launching a brand-new Holiday campaign, that turns the typical Santa on its head.
As Hypebae reports, with “Call Her Santa,” the brand opts for total seasonal chaos, breaking traditions and going with the flow. Instead of “holly-jolly” the Diesel Santa is grump-dumpy. This year’s “bad” Santa is unapologetically over it, and it shows in the most delightful way.
In the latest chapter of the ongoing visual collaboration between Creative Director @GlennMartens and Art Director Christopher Simmonds, Diesel applies its wry, subversive sense of humor to the classic festive family Christmas photo by flipping the traditional script.
Lensed by photographer Connor Cunningham @mescondi, the entire visual concept takes inspiration from the classic family Christmas photo of the kids posing with Santa but now these kids are all grown up, undoubtedly asking for pretty huge gifts, and Santa’s clearly annoyed.
Showcasing the latest Diesel styles, the campaign highlights Prince of Wales denim, slinky party dresses and festive footwear like the Amber Wedge Sandals and the D-Tex lace-up shoe. Elsewhere, the collection features the scrunched Grab-D Bag, 1DR Dome Bag and accessories like the Oval D Belt, D-Rush Watch and Spike jewelry.
You can take a look at the new campaign by heading to the Diesel website to shop the new holiday collection. Ho, ho, ho.
