Demi Lovato’s Froyo Feud Comes Full Circle with Playful Bigg Chill Return

Demi Lovato is proving time (and sprinkles) can heal all wounds. The pop star revisited Los Angeles frozen yogurt shop The Bigg Chill this week—four years after publicly calling out the business for “perpetuating diet culture”—and this time, it ended in laughter and a sweet treat.

In a lighthearted TikTok posted July 30, Lovato lip-syncs to a past clip of themself saying, “I left that yogurt store and didn’t get the yogurt that I wanted,” before cutting to a joyful dance with a froyo cup in hand. “Love you bigg chill,” they wrote in the caption, signaling a cheeky truce with the shop once caught in the middle of an internet firestorm.

The moment marked a humorous 180 from 2021, when Lovato criticized the shop’s display of calorie-labeled items, calling it triggering for those with disordered eating. The store clarified its offerings were meant to support customers with dietary restrictions.

Lovato has since leaned into self-awareness, even joking about the feud in a viral ChatGPT roast earlier this year. With their EDM track “Fast” dropping August 1, Lovato seems to be entering a new era—one filled with froyo, forgiveness, and a little fun.
