Demi Lovato is reworking her return to the stage, trimming her tour schedule and taking a breather before the first note plays. The pop singer has officially canceled five shows from her upcoming “It’s Not That Deep” tour and postponed the kickoff by nearly two weeks, citing the need to prioritize her health and stamina.
Originally set to launch earlier in the spring, the tour will now begin April 13 in Orlando, Florida. Nashville, Atlanta, Las Vegas, Denver, and Charlotte are the cities that won’t see her this time around.
In a heartfelt message to fans, Lovato admitted she had overreached when planning the 23-show tour. “To protect my health, and ensure I can give you my all at each show, I need to build in more time to rest and rehearse,” she wrote.
Ticketholders in the affected cities will be automatically refunded if they purchased through Ticketmaster or AXS. Those who went through third-party sellers will need to take action with the vendor directly.
Lovato first announced the “It’s Not That Deep” tour in October to support her ninth studio album of the same name, a project that sees her leaning back into her electronic-pop roots. She’ll be joined on the road by Adéla, a breakout artist Lovato has described as “an absolute star.”
Despite the adjustments, the tour remains a highly anticipated event for fans eager to see Lovato’s evolution both musically and personally. With a revised 18-date schedule stretching from coast to coast, she’s aiming to deliver maximum energy and presence at every stop.
