Demi Lovato recently opened up about the romantic moment when her husband, Jordan “Jutes” Lutes, learned to play guitar just to propose—with words and melody. In an interview with SiriusXM, Lovato described being “so shocked” when he revealed he had composed an original song centered around their relationship and performed it in the moment he asked her to marry him.
She shared that Jutes painstakingly inserted personal “Easter eggs” into the lyrics—references only she would immediately recognize. The gesture made the proposal feel deeply intimate and intentional. Lovato recalled that she was taken off guard, especially since they had discussed delaying engagement until after the holidays.
Jutes, who isn’t a seasoned guitarist, reportedly spent days rehearsing to ensure the performance went smoothly. He admitted the process was emotionally intense and at times overwhelming, but in the end it seemed to be the perfect blend of creativity and vulnerability.
The couple officially tied the knot on May 25, 2025, but this proposal moment remains a touching symbol of their connection—melding music, courage, and heartfelt intention.
